Karnataka elections: Congress has second thoughts on fielding Mehul Choksi's lawyer, ticket on hold

The Congress high command is believed to have second thoughts on fielding former state public prosecutor H S Chandramouli from Madikeri assembly constituency, in view of the BJP whipping up a campaign that he had appeared for diamond businessman Mehul Choksi, uncle of Punjab National Bank scam accused Nirav Modi, in a cheating case in Karnataka high court.
